In 2013, with the help of an Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, I pulled neighbors and local writers together to create and celebrate a Little Poetry Library outside the Blue Moon Café at 39th Avenue and East Lake Street in Minneapolis. This is a place to leave poetry you’re ready to share, and to find poetry you’ll love.
Sadly, Blue Moon’s owner has announced the café will be closing at the end of 2018. So the Little Poetry Library might need a new home. Shoot me an email if you have any leads on public spots in the Twin Cities where passersby would enjoy and help care for a box of poetry.
